Canon TS-3522

My printer uses cartridges PG275 and CL276. I purchased the refill kit and followed instructions on the website to refill the color one. (CL276) Everything went great and it was really easy to do. I understand that I won't be able to reset the notification light telling me the color is low, HOWEVER, I tried to print a test page and NOTHING comes out but a blank sheet of paper. Is there a step that I am missing or is it that my cartridges are not refillable? HELP?!
